This book is (to me) what the first book should have been. It is a great reading for book lovers, for those who are looking for the growth of characters and how impactful literature can be to different people. The translators note at the end was really moving.

Not a doubt in my mind. I felt disconnected from the first book. To me, it was superficial, I didn't exactly dislike it but I didn't like it either. This one tho, this one I'm liking a lot. I think it's the depth in which Takako is talking about the bookshop and its costumers.

I wanted to like this book, I actually had high expectations on it but I just couldn't. It's not a bad book, but I did expect something different based in the books I read previously. I hope the second book is better.

Life keeps throwing bricks at me so, hello book with cosy vibe. So far, everything is okay with the story, it's easy to read and thank god for that.
