Super easy read, especially to wind down before bed. Characters are delightful! And I'm hungry for a jam pastry! 😂

I actually love the passages from the Thunderhead - they're so interesting to read and the commentary on employment in society made me laugh, especially this quote: "the illusion of purpose is critical to a well-adjusted population."

Have you ever, mid-book, switched formats?
I started reading Guards! Guards! on the 3rd, and I'm around 80ish pages in. I've got it in ePub format that I'm reading on my phone.
I absolutely adore this book so far, but reading digitally has been a bit of a struggle (brain goes brrt with distractions, lol). So on payday, I'm planning to pick up a physical copy (also the start of my Discworld physical collection).
I'm curious if anyone else has switched from ebook to physical, or vice-versa, and why? Or, or audiobook to physical/digital and vice-versa.

How do you guys do your monthly tbr for the month? For example this month is my birthday month so I’m reading my childhood books which has been working out so far to complete my tbr for the month but I feel like having a tbr is hard to motivate me to complete it since I’m mood reading. So wanted to find out different people ways of doing a tbr that works for them can I can use for future tbr’s if that makes sense.

You know what- I think I kinda like it. I'm finding myself eager to know more of the story by the end of this book.
Although honestly, I wasn't finding what I was looking for when I chose this series. I was in a deep enemies-to-lovers hangover, and this series was the most recommended series from this specific trope. If I'm being honest, I was surprised that I found myself disliking that specific trope in this book because of how the mmc was basically the fmc's bully in high school. I guess the high school background also plays more into my dislike for this specific aspect.
The character building is good. I found myself disliking and unable to understand Jude in the first half of the book, but then I slowly managed to somehow understand her a bit and stand a bit closer to her side. I was reading this through an audiobook, so I guess how the narrator narrated also plays a hand in this.
I'm sorry for not updating more often like I promised. I was sick and still recovering from it, but I'll be sure to do that in the next book! Cheers everyone!

This may have already been discussed, but I wonder if there will be an option in the future for DMing or private messaging, I think this would be great for those who want to have conversations about books in common. I’m not sure if i’ve seen a good system for DMs on book websites so this would be a nice plus!

edit: Thanks for everyone's feedback! I'm glad this was a subject had opinions about and not one I was just overthinkinh. I'm hopeful we can keep talking about revisiting childhood reads here too!
Throwing this out here because I'm torn about it!
I've got a lot of older books from my middle/high school years on my goodreads (I signed up in 2012! which would have been my 2nd year of university. I was studying secondary English Ed so a lot of these were relevant to my degree!) which I've imported to both here and Storygraph. A lot of them are missing dates since it's been close to 20 years since I read them. I'm torn between trying to clean them up and add them to a shelf for my Childhood Reads or just politely nuke them from my book lists as a whole.
The biggest hesitation I have is that I really did enjoy reading as a child and I have fond memories of a lot of these books. I would love to keep them as a snapshot of what Lil Lon enjoyed, but it's a lot of work to polish these up with some dates and clean up reviews... So I'm curious how other people feel!
Do you keep your old nostalgic books on your lists? Do you draw a line between what you read in school and what you read for fun now? How do you feel looking back at some books that might have been important back then but have lost some of the magic?
