Do you know if people who collect high-valued special editions actually read them? Or are they keepsakes? I know some collectors of rare, valuable baseball cards keep them in protective cases and never touch them with ungloved hands.
I'm asking because I saw a collection that costs almost $2,500. Of course, some go even higher than that. I was thinking how terrible it would be to accidentally damage one of the pages. It seems like reading them would be so stressful. š¬š«£

I feel that if I start a new audiobook right after finishing one (excluding ones from the same series), I am not able to get into it as much as if I just start fresh after taking a day or so off.
I can read different physical books back to back to back to back, but there's just something about audiobooks that I can't digest with the same pace.
I'm also very picky with audiobook narrators though so this could be a me problem 𤷠I'm curious to hear if anyone else is the same!
