sighhh where do I beginning? I want to say the begininning started off very interesting. Summer lives in a huge estate that was passed down from her family and there are ghost hauntings. Totally normal. So a bit paranormal with fae in the mix. Fun Fun...there's where it all ends downhill.

It starts off very insta lust. FMC meets MMC in her house....booty naked....and boom theres attraction that she doesn't want to face it wolf is there. Summer is very arrogant. Her mother is legit known for studying into the fae world yet homegirl is choosing not to listen to the studies...LIKE GIRL. also mind you, Summer is 25 years old..She is a fully developed brain woman and she's acting like a 20 year old...LIKE GIRL THIS ISNT ACOTAR. IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE CYNICAL AT LEAST BE CYNICAL FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. UGH

now the spice.....the spice was....disappointing. The free use of knotting was not the greatest choice, and also PRETTY DAMN WEIRD. Like how you going to knot someone and not explain how the knotting works as you proceed to knot the person? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. Also, SUMMER JUST GOES ALONG WITH WITH IT?!

And thus i stop there because I unfortunately I couldn't get into the story anymore, and I wasn't willing to continue the book. I'm sorry Anthony Palmini and Jacci Prior, your bootiful voices couldn't make the books better.

I don't mind one night stands and instalust tropes. I honestly just feel the writing was just super cringey and cliche. I would have like more on page interactions of the two characters falling in love, but clearly, this book is more of a character driven than plot itself. I would have like the characters more fleshed out with great character arcs and development.

C.D Gorri tried to show some stakes, but I felt it just wasn't really relevant to the story. We had no true world building to know what was going on behind the scenes or the "underworld." The kidnapping and crazy bitch was no necessary

Out of curiosity, how do you do it?! Are you a naturally fast reader? Do you read several hours a day? Listen to audiobooks? As someone who LOVES to read but is a naturally slow reader, I’m always fascinated when I see users with so many books read per year.

Spicy gay book recs please! (With tons of cussing!)

You know why I’m asking 😂

Editing this for the people who don’t know the lore there was a post about wanting “clean” , “low lgbt” books with little to no cussing and I had too post this to combat that. Anyone who saw my comment on the og post knows I don’t actually like spice in my lit (fan fic and 🌽 fill that particular void) but some of these recommendations sound wildly interesting (I somehow haven’t seen any chuck tingle yet?! But I’m still working though the comments)
