Woww, okay the ending got me the fuckeeedd uppp. Like I knew he didnt really care for Jasmine in the end..but to call her "domesticated animal" was diablolical. Cecilia was right and still could have "bred" her to make more babies for them.

I honestly wished we had more build up scenes with Marcus and "Jasmine" just so its more twist knife to the gut how much he could give a rat's ass about her. It gave me a bit of Pet Motel by Kitty King/M.A Cobb with their dynamic. I also felt there were minor mentions that could have really made the book more interesting. The scavengers and the infectious virus in animals. We could have gotten more lore and world building with that but it just was rushed and quick.

I still ended up thinking of hucows and "pet play" into the mix. Yes im aware that was fucked up of me and noooo im not willing to talk about it in details. I am known for my unhinged reads and it'll play a factor in other genres so dont come at me 🤣 (unless you want more of me 😉)
