Every star is for the smut. This author should swerve into erotica. Leave the plot behind. The audio is pretty bad too. The narrators do a good job. But the sound consistency is not there. There is some obvious re-recoding that is jarring. And both narrators say Anguis differently!

Today's prompt brought to you by the cover of N.R. Walker's Upside Down.
Pick a colour, purple vs pink. Vote by suggesting a book with that colour cover. You can vote for both if you want.
I'm going to use childhood faves this week 🩷 - Jewels of Fairyland by Shirley Barber 💜 - Witch Way Did She Go? by Paul Ruditis

So the trope was basically golden retreiver x sunshine. Super cute and super wholesome. They both have traumatic background but they are just such sweethearts. Can we also talk about the sentient sword though. I WISH WE HAD MORE OF HIM. I adore him so much!! Oh and the cute little wyvern friend.

Rating 2⭐ Spice 👑.5 Audio Narration 2⭐
Honestly, I think the book had a lot of potential but I really hate it with the whole "lying" by omission trope. Specifically with this story, I felt this could have done it a lot more different in my opinion. I would have liked it a lot more if we saw better interactions with the characters on page to see the 'romance' blossom.
Regarding to the spice...You can't tell me it's open door spice when the spice isnt even that spicing!! LIKE GIVE ME THE FILTHY SMUT WE DESERVE. Maybe i had a higher expectations out of the spice, but I'm just a pure degen sooo yeaaaah
The audio narration was okay. The female narrator absolutely was NOT good. She sounded sooo boring and dull when she narrates. The male narrator did a better job and he wasn't that great either.
I received the ALC through NaughtyNookPR. This review is my true and honest thoughts

I personally don't like readers who judge others on what they read? Like what do others reading has with you, once i saw guy who reads non fiction saying how romance books don't count as reading and how you aint reader, like buddy, if you read you are reader, or a person who judges how much person read in a month or a year, i recently started counting books i read last year i didn't, i don't even know how much i read until i realized people actually count and make goals how much they wanna read, i never understand those readers, so share what you think :)
