Short Books with Long Thinking Afterđ§
Short novels can sometimes be overlooked by readers who usually go for content that will leave them thinking. Usually, only books that are exceptionally long can do this but that is lost on these. In around 200 pages or less, authors of the following have composed multiple or a single story that will leave you questioning the way things are in the world in comparison to how they could be.

In barely 150 pages, Jonathan Miles has crafted a centerpiece for literature addressing the environmental crisis. With Adi telling his story of his time on the island in relation to his past that is tragic, we get a glimpse of who is truly at fault for how our world is. The range of emotions both addressed and felt is astonishing and if you have a question as to if you should be a vegetarian, a definitive answer can be found through reading this book. This book should be read by everyone especially as teaching material as the concepts are not hard to grasp but still require you to consider your own answer to the decisions made.

I need to applaud T. Kingfisher for keeping me on my toes the entire time. I loved how southern gothic horror was crossed with a more naturalistic type of horror because the result was disturbing (as a compliment). The main character Sonia felt incredibly fleshed out and I really enjoyed the emphasis on her personal anxiety through the story. Seeing how this counter balanced her scientific rationality created an interesting parallel. I wish maybe more couldâve been learned about the side characters but at the same time, maybe this was intentional as Sonia was rather reclusive at times. I think this might by my favorite Kingfisher novel even over what moves the dead. I definitely wonât be able to sleep without thinking of bugs but nothing can change the fact that I am thrilled to have read this book.
