Happy Wednesday, Boundlings! đ
I feel like society always focuses on the big wins, the all out effort, the productivity.
I want to hear your small wins, the ones that would go unnoticed as a win if you didnât mention them.
Did you get out of bed this morning? Have the perfect amount of creamer left for you coffee? Did a stray cat meow at you and made you feel warm and fuzzy?
These are all wins! I want to hear your micro wins for the week! đđ»đđ»đđ»

One of my favorite end-of-year activities with students is a passion speech. They choose something they love and spend time convincing the rest of us to love it too. But before that, I have them do a ârantâ activity.
No grammar rules. No structure. Just pure chaos. They can complain about anything they canât stand.
This yearâs rants thus far have included some great topics: Caillou, Wapol from One Piece, and, one of my personal favorites to bring here, Hatchet.
The student said, âIf I had to read another line about that dude staring at the lake or eating berries, I was going to buy a hatchet just to throw it at the book.â
I always end up in tears by the time I finish reading all of their pieces. But, now I need to know, what book would you stand on a hill and scream about at the top of your lungs?? Or if you just want to rant about something, what would it be??

Hi - exactly as the title says - seeking some recs and healing from my fellow bookworms! My partner of 6 years, someone who very recently held my hand and said "I love you and I've got you" just broke up with me. I won't go into too many details because it will get long. But it came out of the blue. I thought we were family, he's literally been my best friend. Apparently not.
He's done this to me before and then walked back the statement. It hurt like shit, but I didn't tell anyone last time it happened. This time, I'm taking a different, "it takes a village" kind of approach. I want to get angry, I want to scream, and I want ALL the distractions I can get to heal my broken heart and move on for good. I didn't deserve the way it happened & how he's done this before and watched my world crumple around me along with my confidence. Then watch me build it up again to crush it, like clockwork, a year later.
Please throw any and all recs my way! Anything lift-you-out-of-the-funk, it will get better, build your confidence themes. Men-kinda-suck themes work too (he might be my last male partner, I'm BI). And smut, all the smut. I intend to heal up one page at a time.đ
Edit: Thank you so much boundlings. This thread has gotten me through a really rough few days. Your love, encouragement and recommendations is shining so much light my way. I'll slowly respond to everyone and add all recs to my own shelf. I've already hunted one of the recs down on Libby and have made a start, and it's warming my heart. If I get sulky I'll put my head in the recommended books & comments thread. If I haven't gotten back to you yet, know I've seen you and am so grateful. So much love from this internet stranger đ«¶đ«¶đ«¶
