Venessa did an amazing job with this book. Even though it is not set in PR, it showcases a lot of PR culture and the experiences of Nuyuricans at the time. At times, the book is magical, heartbreaking and other times so lovable. I want to hug this book forever. It will make you feel everything

The circus vibes and history in Coney Island was chef's kiss. The story is well thought out and the pace was on point - not too fast, not too slow - letting you feel everything the characters are experiencing. The MM love is so tender 🥹 and I loved how Rio made Benny grow into a better self. The characters in the menagerie are also lovable and heartbreaking 😭. But there is a happy ending. So good!!
