the last 100 pages were weirdly emotional for me so i cried like 4 times. but it had nothing to do with the beautiful age gap romance and everything to do with sam's characterization. i saw myself in her on every single page and this relatability just kinda bubbled and mildly exploded for me when sam and her mother finally addressed the elephant in the room.
i think this book does so many things well but obviously, i feel like it really captured that restlessness and shame of being in your 20s and not knowing what the fuck is going on. of having no plan or even of having too specific of a plan that you don't know where to start. there's a lot of books that try to capture this and just can't get right. daddy issues got it right!!!!! gag!!!

I was reflecting that I’ve read a lot more books than usual this year - almost double my usual amount! When I thought about why, I realised it’s mostly because my library took away the charge for ordering in books they don’t have in stock. So I have a constant stack of reserves and it makes me so happy! 🧚
I then had such a nice thought of all you lovely Pagebound folks tootling off to your respective libraries / browsing the charity shops / racking up a huge pile of TBRs from your fave book shop / scrolling your e-reader for new treasure. It made me want to know where you get your books from! What’s your routine, what about it brings you joy? ✨

Let's spread some love for this app, while also giving nice "tips" or reasons to stay here to the new users. I go first:
🔸The lack of influencers. Right now this is the perfect intersection between personal and social. No ego or popularity battles, just a village full of villagers.
