This goes out to all multilingual readers here. Do you ever switch languages when reading a series? And how do you decide which language you want to read a book in (standalone or series)? I've just thought about rereading a series I read in middle school, which I read in my native language but was originally in English. Since I read it all those years ago more books have come out. Now as I've grown I prefer to read books in English if that's the language they've been written in. I don't even think the new books have matching covers to my editions so aesthetically it wouldn't matter anyways but I can't decide if I should switch languages or not.

What’s everyone’s favourite feature on PB?? I’m still finding out new things, like how each book page has a ‘recs like this’ section underneath them.
Was wondering what other cool stuff I’ve been missing out 👀👀

Fellow planners, users of the pagebound plan feature! how did our reading plans go for January? ☆
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶
For me, i had 5 books i had definitely wanted to try read in January. Out of those five i got 2 finished, 2 dnf's and 1 started but wasnt in the mood for so it got put back in my tbr, i'll possibly read it this month!
I actually also ended up reading 1 of my reads i had planned for February. As someone who borders on being a mood reader but loves planning things and have lists made up i felt like January went pretty good !

edit: adding in this months goal which include:
☆ i who have never known men by jacqueline harpman (currently reading) ☆ i want to go home but im already there by róisín lanigan ☆ days at the torunka cafe by satoshi yagisawa ☆ the last wish of bristol keats by mary e. pearson ☆ chain-gang-all-stars by nana kwame adjei-brenyah (currently reading) ☆ nightcrawling by leila mottley (currently reading) ☆ legends and lattes by travis baldree (currently reading)

Yes, you read that right. My last memory of reading was when i was 18, and cuz we had some sort of compulsory reading time.
I love reading but i hadn’t the mental energy or space for it (something about depression and stuff ahahak).
December 2025 i have decided that my New Year’s resolution was to start reading, (for context i am a painter & have been in a slump to what i wanna paint, so i thought reading would help broaden my storytelling) and to say i am ambitious is an understatement cuz i set my goal to read 60 books this year 😵💫 literally 0-60 real quick ☠️
My husband is so beyond thrilled that i wanna start back reading, he just likes reading in general and now he and i have started a bookish club of sorts with our toddler to show her the importance of reading 📖 I’ve made it thru 6 books this year & i am impressed ✨
Please recommend some books to read!

Hi everyone! So I'm back at uni now which has now hit me with the realisation that when I get back into having to read academically, I fall into a DEEP reading slump. However, I think this might be because of the kind of books I read around these times. Last year it was Babel, which I loved but felt like I was going from studying straight back into studying, I didn't feel like I was getting a break or escape at all and I just stopped enjoying reading, I didn't pick up another fiction book for 6 months, it was bad... The books that pulled me out of the slump even when I was studying were short, fast paced, romantic but still very well-written.
This year the book I'm going into studying with Priory of the Orange Tree and as much as I am LOVING IT, I can just see myself not being able to blur the lines between it and academic reading since the writing is so dense.
So after all that, I'd love some recs for well-writen romances that are short in length (<400 pages) and preferably have short chapters too. I'd prefer sapphic or mlm romances but if the MMC isn't a walking red flag I'll enjoy a straight romance too. Iwan from The Seven Year Slip is the last straight romance MMC I last enjoyed for reference.
Authors that are off limits for me are Colleen Hoover, SJM, Anna Huang, Rebecca Yarros and Hannah Grace.
Thanks for sticking around for this insanely long post and I love you sm for staying and recommending stuff 💕

Hi PB club! Lately, I’ve realized that most of the stuff I read is from American authors, and as someone who doesn’t live in the US I’d love to expand my horizons. What are some of your favourite authors from outside America?

please please i need a true enemies to lover book, i feel like every book ive read that says it’s enemies to lovers is basically rivals to lovers. i need LOTS of tension and yearning with great world building and plot driven!
ideally would love a completed series but wouldn’t mind starting an incomplete series IF it’s good!! (maybe nothing more than 5 books HAH)
in different on the smut tbh, its there then that’s great and if not it’s ok!! i just like it when the smut adds to the plot vs just feeling like filler

What are your favourite playlists to put on when you start reading?
Are their specific artists/songs you pair with certain books/series?
zulal commented on a post from the Pagebound Club forum
How short would you consider too short to log as a "book" you read?
My logic is that if it's available on this app (or any other) as a book, then it's a book but I also low key feel a little bit like I'm cheating when I count a tiny ass novella towards my overall reading goal for the year.
Some people are out here reading 100 books a year, that are 300-500 pages. And I've read 20 books so far in January but quite a few are novellas... one of them was 8 pages lololol.
Where do you draw the line?

I’m looking for a rivals to lovers romance book recs, like the Hating Game or Divine Rivals. Any suggestions? Preferably M/F romance.

How do you guys find new books to read?? I don’t really trust tiktok or social media because the ones that go viral aren’t for me. Sometimes I scroll on Libby for available books just to try something new. I will also always find new books to read when I go to the bookstore or the library, since I like to wander. Now that I’m on PB, it’s so easy to discover and research new books and I love it!!
