Recs if you like Pretty Little Liars...

For when your PB friends share the same name(s) as a book character! (See pinned comment for master list! Please feel free to chime in if you want to be added and/or if you want a different book assigned to you; I didn’t want to step on toes and add people I haven’t really talked to without their permission ❤️ also my brain is smooth and I forget book character names all the time lol)

Allow me to set the scene:

It’s 2 AM on a school night but you only have 100 pages left. You will power through. Forget the math test you have first period. This is your priority. And you must know how the book ends.

I don’t know what sort of millennial catnip these 2000s YA authors put in these books, but let me tell you, my “baby millennial” self was addicted.

Pagebound Millennials: what YA were you reading?

I'm including books where a character's presence is minimal and every character, conflict, and theme leads back to them. Their absence feels loud. Their past decisions shape the present.

Open for recommendations that meet these parameters 💓 I haven't read all the books in this list but feel fairly confident about their inclusion here, if you believe one of these doesn't fit feel free to discuss in the comments

mystery and thriller books that are ya but perfect for adults

Look, if you are taking out racist nonsense, sure. But if you are adding texting for no reason, get out here with that bullshit.

Be sure to check which edition of these books you read if you don't want to be jump scared by weird incongruity. Recommendations heartily welcomed.

mysteries and thrillers in which the victim high-key sucks. rest in pieces, shitheads! love to hate 'em, we will not miss them. disclaimer: while the list creator is a certified hater, in no way is the list creator or pagebound condoning or encouraging violence, even in situations when that person does, in fact, suck.

A roundup of YA books that were popular back in the days of us baby millennials. For anyone feeling nostalgic for the 2010’s. Draw a little mustache on your finger because you’re so quirky and get reading like you already finished your homework for the night!

A small selection of the over 2000+ banned books recently brought to the attention of Texas' Lt. Gov and a conservative organization for their for "vulgar" material 🙄 including topics of history, race, LGBTQ+, gender identity, feminism, mental health, and sex education as well as romance, horror, science fiction, memoirs, YA, and classic genres. Aka my new reading list 💅 **Includes all the books I've read/on my TBR and other popular books, comment others if you want!!

all books that have been adapted to another medium. mostly film and TV but other adaptations might get mixed in.

Covers so bright you gotta read with shades

You watched the second season of A Good Girls Guide to Murder and/or recently finished the books? Here are some ya thrillers that will distract you from the hole the series left in your heart.💔

best sellers and other peak books from middle school era for those of us that aren't quite millennials but are also definitely not core gen z

^^ a walk down memory lane for anyone who might’ve been making collages from images found on photobucket and weheartit in the 2000s ^^

Books that have been made into TV shows or movies. It always amazed me how many there are.

As always feel free to recommend any I missed!

As a proud Pennsylvanian I had to make a list of books in PA :)

secrets, lies, and deception (and characters that struggle to keep up)

young adult books from a mixture of genres!!!

let me know what books to add :)

Easing in to autumn with some junior sleuth, amateur detectives vibes. Is this the best idea? No I'm easily scared and often correct when it comes to guessing "who-done- its" blame my years of watching SVU, Rozzli and Isle, Criminal Minds.. But I the temperature is falling and I want get into fall yall
