This list was generated from a post on pagebound club on Juneteenth in 2026. I opted to not try and make this list comprehensive but just to document the community recs from that day - however, if you have more books to recommend please comment in the forum! Prompts from the original post will be in the comments. Note: prompts asked for books by Black authors, not only those from/books set in the US. See comments section for more discussion.

Books that feature queerplatonic relationships! Since I have not yet gotten around to reading all of these, please let me know if something I included doesn't fit the list (with some of these I'm purely going off of what I've heard from others). Similarly if you know a book that would fit on here please tell me about it!

Fantasy ebooks available through the Kobo Plus subscription. If you have any recommendations, please let me know! Fairy tale and folklore-inspired narratives as well as atmospheric/quiet/light fantasy with canon aspec characters, aspec-readable themes such as rejection of relationship hierarchy and meaningful companionships, or simply excluding elements of either sexuality or romance. Limiting these to books aimed at adults but will include kidlit that may resonate with older audiences too, such as classics or kidlit with older protagonists.
