This was a little boring.
There's no conflict in this book, just fluff. That's not a bad thing for me, I enjoy that a lot when I'm in such mood (which I was) the thing is... for a book with no conflict this was fucking long.
I've read other stories by the same author and I wouldn't say they're carbon copies of each other but they definitely give the vibe of being written with the same template. The repetition of sub-plots and developments eroded my enjoyment of this read... overall, between this one and "How to fail at online dating" I prefer the latter with one stelar exception: PUBG secondary cp Lu Xiuhe and Zuo Zhen. It's a condensed reimagining of xiang Huaizhi and Jing Huang and much better than the MC in my opinion. Zuo Zhen is the GOAT
