Reading suggestions for the Trans Rights Readathon! (Any year of course). Books with trans characters of any label (or any non-cis gender identity) by trans/non-cis authors. I have not read all the books in this list. Feel free to name your fave books by trans authors in the comments!

Nonfiction books about fatness—through a lens of activism, liberation, and acceptance. Body diversity is a beautiful and natural thing and these books honor that truth.

Books that are part memoir part another genre: in a way that blends multiple mediums and/or themes in unique and engaging ways. Magical, explosive and memorable narratives expressed with creativity and depth. Books that inspire me to write more.

despite collective abandonment and effective propaganda, the pandemic is ongoing. COVID continues to kill and maim people as it spreads unmitigated worldwide. these are books crucial to the study of the public health realities we’re up against as eugenics and fascism escalate - from disability justice to science communication to social movement histories.
