fantasy books where cooking and baking or some other form of culinary art are the main focus, a large part of the plot, or part of the magic system!

This is like literary sorbet, books that are simple, sweet, and pretty easy to digest when you want to turn your brain off, decompress after a big, intense book, or break out of a reading slump.

Celebrating cozy books by bipoc authors. With respect to the subjectivity of 'cozy' and how a lot of bipoc stories will touch on difficult themes as part of our realities, I'm including here books that I've read and have been recommended.

These are books for us to exhale and rest with, with lower stakes where the cozy atmosphere is thoughtfully at the forefront rather than as short scenes or as an afterthought. I'll add a suggestions criteria post in the comments for more recs 🙌🏽

I recently binged Raw (Irish TV show; 2008 - 2013) and realised that a lot of my favourite books, movies, fanfics and shows are set in restaurants or coffee shops and/or center around food!
