While many books on this list are what I’d classify as including “mommy issues” there are others that are more about the different perspectives and nuances of the mother-child (often specifically mother-daughter) relationship. Some books center the child, some the mother, some both.

well, this is all the books read by rory in the gilmore girls tv show.

An on-going attempt to track Asian authors in my Interested/TBR (and hopefully Finished) categories. Books are generally fiction/lit fic/fantasy with some memoirs. Authors span West to East Asia, the Asian diaspora, and mixed-race folx.

This list gathers over 300 books mentioned or read on the show so you can sip coffee, order in, and read along with Rory Gilmore and the other Stars Hollow residents.

A challenge to read all books mentioned or referenced in the American TV Show, Gilmore Girls. Books are referenced by all characters in the show. The Mojo Collection, dictionaries, instructional books, and travel books will not be included in the list.

Multigenerational family/chosen family narratives! Books with multiple POVs from different generations within communities.

books from all US states and territories. asking for recommendations! these books must a) be written by an author with a strong connection to the state or territory and b) take place largely in the state or territory. i want to try to prioritize, whenever possible, underrepresented voices / voices that america’s regime tries to silence.
