Ugly Ducklings
I love the Pagebound community but the one thing I don’t like about the app is how it incentives sticking to popular books more likely to have a decent amount of posts. (Granted some of this has to do with it being a little new) It’s my experience however that the hidden gems or even just less popular books are often just as if not more interesting as the best sellers.
So this is my list of books with 5 posts or less that I think deserve more love.

Gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss (sci-fi & fantasy)
Suggestions always welcome in the pursuit of women's rights and women's wrongs! For the terrible women in fantasy who are gaslighting, gatekeeping, and girlbossing their way to the top, using any and all tools at their disposal—the more war crimes, the better. These women are generally characterized as ruthless, cunning, scheming, manipulative, etc. (To go along with the poor little meow meow list featuring pathetic men)

Lovable Liars
Requirements:
The Mc(s) is a tricksters or unreliable narrator who spends most of the book lying to, bluffing or otherwise misleading others or themselves.
They would continue lying even if they didn’t have to either they can’t help it or enjoy the game too much.
This causes situations that get unpredictable, chaotic or even completely ridiculous as the characters dodge or face consequences for their actions.

Ancient Women Who Terrify Me (In A Good Way)
Ancient heroines, goddesses, villains, and ordinary civilians all fighting for a sliver of agency in traditionally male dominated societies. The mythos surrounding these women may be centuries old, but one thing is certain; a good novel can animate even the most ancient tales.
