Books where the narrating character is... different.

Everyone knows George Orwell or Aldous Huxley. Their works are considered to be the staples of dystopia stories.

But are they?

Most of the people know Octavia E. Butler or Margaret Atwood. They showed the feminine side of dystopia. But this subgenre of science fiction have much more to offer.

Yes, you find here all the famous ladies too but I'll do my best to find even more. So I hope the fellow Boundlings will help too💗

Let the animals tell the story! I am trying to be as comprehensive as possible with the exception of children’s books, graphic novels and comics (too many to list!)-although there are some.

stories tracing a single life from youth to adulthood, but the protagonist is an animal; novelizations of the "beast fable." and YES, there are middle grade books on here, because people love writing books about animals for kids but think adults are too good for it.

I almost exclusively listen to books on audio these days, and these are my absolute favorites.
