Another fun fact: majority of the "bees" you see in save the bee campaigns are actually flies! Bees have two pairs of wings, whereas flies have modified the second pair into these tiny numbs. These halteres help with orientation and balance as they fly.

If you'd like a suggestion, The History of Bees by Maja Lunde is a fiction book about bees and how climate change impacts them and then how we as humans have to adapt because they’re gone. And my flatmate has a poetry collection about bees, I'll ask her about it once I'm back home. It could be that that one is purely in German though.
