Bi: The Hidden Culture, History, and Science by Julia Shaw; A Queer History of the United States by Michael Bronski; Charity and Sylvia: A Same-Sex Marriage in Early America by Rachel Hope Cleves; and Thank You for Calling the Lesbian Line by Elizabeth Lovatt would be great fits too 😊 Not history based but: Ace: What Asexuality Reveals About Desire, Society, and the Meaning of Sex by Angela Chen; and American Teenager: How Trans Kids Are Surviving Hate and Finding Joy in A Turbulent Era by Nico Lang are also on my radar!

oooh queer nonfiction ! for a history angle, i can recommend Female Husbands by Jen Manion

Off the top of my head, I can recommend: Len and Cub: A Queer History Book by Dusty Green and Meredith Batt Missing from the Village by Justin Ling Queer: A Graphic History by Meg-John Barker More contemporary than history but recs still worth considering: We Have Always Been Here by Samra Habib Hijab Butch Blues by Lamya H.
