Instead of rewatching Bridgerton: read this đź’•

Books I read to fill the gap season 3 left behind! I do love an intelligent, wallflower or plus size heroine (projecting much lol) so the FMCs mainly fall into that category!

Love this list!!!!! 👏 🔥 ❤️‍🔥

1

Glad you like it! If you have any recs let me know!

I’m thinking historical series that are also a set of siblings would be good. So maybe the first book in the Essex spate series by Eloisa James or the 1st Mackenzie book by Jennifer Ashley, I’ll go find the titles.

Historical series with a set of siblings - can't help but throw in the Trewloves by Lorraine Heath

4

I think Lorraine Heath is underrated, so thanks for this. I went looking for the Trewlove series and had a little trouble finding it. It’s actually the Sins for All Seasons series, starting with Beyond Scandal and Desire. Definitely going on the TBR list.

thank you for all the recs! I'll read them and then add them!!!

I haven’t read the Eloisa James series but it’s on my TBR list. I second the MacKenzie family series. I particularly liked the first book (The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie) as I found the portrayal of the MMC’s high functioning autism realistic. You can find it here: https://pagebound.co/books/2726e497-034e-4b67-8453-d3c08e199ca0

Ok thank you. So excited to find someone else that's read the madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie. The porcelain gift scene đź’ś đź’ś đź’ś as a probably neurodivergent girly with weird hyperfixations (the London underground, rocks, museums, porcelain) I was floored by that bit.

I love his story. And every time he shows up in that series. I’m a little more than halfway through , but his story is still my favourite. If you like the London underground, have you ever thought of checking out the catacombs of Paris? (Not quite the same, I know.) I never saw them when I went there many years ago, but it would probably be high on my to do list if I went back now.

I think I'd do that I'd do tours if I wasn't alone. I wanted to do London transport museum tours of stations disused parts but I got spooked at the idea of doing so on my first solo trip (I have panic attacks that pop up at bad times). But I love learning about those things and old public transport in general.

Agreed! Great list!
