unlimited flow // 无限流
death games, omniscient gods, and unlimited possibilities, oh my!
unlimited flow is an east asian sff genre that began with zhttty’s 无限 / unlimited series.
— “the meaning of unlimited flow should be ‘all-embracing’: it contains unlimited elements, including science, religion, mythology, legends, history, reality, movies, animated shows and comics, video games, etc, and is higher than them. only through a worldview that encompasses all of this can the essence of unlimited flow novels shine.”

highly recommend reading this reactor article on the unlimited flow genre here for a better understanding of it!
my friend sent me this very interesting post here on the differences in how the consequences of ai usage is viewed in western and asian countries, which i think is also quite applicable to the differences between apocalyptic/dystopian fiction and unlimited flow, which is not a subgenre of it but rather stands adjacent to it. the tone of survival differs quite a bit imo
