She is portrayed as uptight, while he is the type who takes things in stride. A recipe for disaster—BUT: contrary to my initial expectations, they don’t constantly blame each other for this. They find themselves in crazy situations where reason goes out the window and trying to make sense of it all is pointless. Ultimately, I found their relationship convincing, though the book could've used a bit more editing in that regard: why devote 300 pages to eight days at a marriage camp, while the actual process of building a solid relationship takes up only 80 pages and an epilogue?
Was it my favorite book? No. Was the MMC much better than the one in Just For the Cameras? Yes, because he actually deals with his issues like an adult (the bar is in hell). Should another book influence my ratings here? Probably not, but it's my review and I can do whatever I want.
Last year, I vowed not to read any more books by Meghan Quinn, having been disappointed four times in a row. I have to say, this book is one of the better ones of hers I’ve read—yet I’m sticking to my original resolution.

I'm kinda confused, because wtf is 'Scroll Life'? Is that meant to be a stand in social media for like Instagram? Because if so, shouldn't Facebook and Reddit have also been changed? Because they haven't, they exist and are mentioned frequently (Hazel's late night Facebook livestream in Chapter 4, and Hazel mentioning 'lurking on Reddit' at the end of Chapter 22).
Also sorry, but as much as Hazel is told to be 35, she does not read like it. Maybe I'm age-ist but she reads younger, like late twenties at the most. Kinda the same with a lot of the other characters. And when I went on pinterest to see what fanart there might be of Cam and Hazel, they all looked young. Is that just me, or do others feel the same way?

Hi all, Looking for some advice. I started learning french by myself about a year and a half ago. I did learn mostly on duolingo to gain vocabulary and a basic sense of how sentences are strung together. Also learned a bit in a workbook. Then I started reading l’étranger by Albert Camus which honestly is fine to read but just a little long for a beginner so it makes me lose focus in between.
Currently I am finishing up ”Short Stories in French for Beginners” by Olly Richards which I absolutely love in terms of how it is made and the difficulty level. After finishing it I would like to add more books like that but maybe also some easy reads.
Do you guys have any suggestions for me? It would be very appreciated 🫶🏻
I would love for the french level to be somewhere around A2 -> B1
