An Ode to the Mother of All These Reads: Rebecca
Collecting book titles with "The Second Mrs." or "Second Wife." Are the two women being pitted against each other or compared; is the second being haunted by the first; are both women haunted by the loss of identity outside of the husband's (since they are now identified through his name and family legacy)? Maybe all the things.

It doesn't fit your title convention per se (although the title is the first wife's name) but I can't not mention Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier ! The grandmommy of 'em all...
No Rebecca is what I always think of when I think of haunted second wives!! I may add it even if it's outside of the convention. Or maybe use what you said as a subtitle if that's okay. Honoring Rebecca, the Grandmother/Mother of Them All.

Thanks for the rec! I kind of want to keep it titles with second since new wife can have so many different implications outside of second marriages and may mean newlyweds.
