Actually reads like a fairlytale

For books that are the same amount of whimsy, dark and alluring, but very sincere about it. Not every fairlytale retelling can summon this feeling, and not every book with his feeling is a retelling. I'm taking the "dark" part seriously so please PLEASE check trigger warnings for some of these books. I'm also accepting recs cause this is my favorite flavour of book!!!!!!
