iâm reading it right now and loving it! i know people are very divided on it but iâm having a wonderful time.

I've read her Grisha trilogy and it was so clearly written by an American with no idea how Russian colonialism works. (FFs kvas is an alcoholic drink in this universe). There were miles of improvement in her approach in the familiar.

I think it definitely helps that her/her family is Sephardi, so she has the stories and experience to relate to more closely.
