I wasn't allowed to read books by Black authors growing up, or listen to music from Black artists, or watch shows and movies with Black actors. So it comes very much from a place of profound curiosity and the kid who has finally been let loose in the candy shop. I want to read everything all at once, and it all sounds interesting, and I need a way to organize myself so I don't get overwhelmed! 😁
It’s incredible how you’ve been able to expand your horizons since childhood! A lot of people could easily stay stuck in the ways of the way their parents raised them, and I commend you for doing the work to explore & learn!
