Biopunk Sci-Fi
Since my Solarpunk list was liked so much I decided to just continue with the sci-fi subgenres.
Biopunk is a sci-fi subgenre that fuses biology, technology, and often dystopian themes. It involves themes of genetic engineering, body modifications, biotechnology, and the ethical consequences of these advancements on society. The subgenre is closely related to cyberpunk and has lots of overlap. We follow underdogs that fight against the system or try to carve out a little bit of freedom.

I know you have Annihilation by Jeff VanDermeer on here, but I think his book Veniss Underground might fit too! It has a lot of themes of biological weirdness and dystopia.
Thanks for the suggestion, I added it! I haven't read it but the blurb reads like there is some biological weird stuff going on with the characters that fits the theme😊
