Enjoy my newest lit series, ‘Reading the World’, in an attempt to diversify your own reading and broaden horizons, I have included a mix of genres. Sensitive topics often lie ahead as history, social and political issues are usually the centre of this writing. Enjoy!

I’m part Armenian-American and this list is dear to my heart— I also recommend Forgotten Fire by Adam Bagdasarian (it’s a YA book about the Genocide I read a long time ago) and I have Armaveni by Nadine Takvorian on my TBR (an upcoming graphic novel about the Genocide). Serj Tankian from System of a Down also has a memoir (haven’t read yet) called Down With the System. ❤️🇦🇲

Oh my gosh I’m so glad you liked it and I hope I did Armenian lit some justice! I will add those books right away and thank you for such great recs I’m always so happy to hear from people with real experiences!!
Thank you for this list! I'm always looking for Armenian books beyond the classics that we read in school 💜 For a less heavy book I also recommend Lavash at First Sight by Taleen Voskuni, it's a sapphic romance ☺️

Oooo! I’m so happy to add sapphic romance to this list! Glad you enjoyed this list!
