You already know dark academia, the sub-genre that explores topics of knowledge and power within the institutional academic setting but some dark academia is also damp. The veneer of the school is prestigious but the foundation has been rotting in seawater since its constructuon.

There is totally something here.. waterlogged books invoke the kind of bloated, haunting imagery that sticks with you long after you read the last page. Iâll ask my friends for more recs and add to the list accordingly.
