WWII historical fiction. From everyday bravery to remarkable heroism, these characters and their stories remind us that everyone can be brave.

Hi, I love this list! 😍 Thank you for making it! May I recommend a couple books? If you're looking for any I would say, Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys is a good one to go on here. You might have already added it, but some of the books aren't loading for me right now so I can't see them. I think it's my internet🫠. À Place to Hang the Moon would be good, Girl in the Blue Coat by Monica Hesse and Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne! 😄
Oh, and the Paper Girl of Paris!
Hi thanks so much for the recommendations I’m so glad you like this list 😌 Boy in Stripes Pajamas would be an excellent add, and anything by ruta sepetys is a good add, I’ll have to look up those other two tho! Thanks for stopping by!
Of course! I love historical fiction and am glad to help😈😈
i love the smiths and i love this list and that’s all i came to say
Ty ty bows
can i suggest the lilac people by milo todd?
I looked it up and it sounds so good 😭 added!
I've got some suggestions if you're interested 👀
I am David by Anne Holm Once (series) by Morris Gleitzman The silver sword by Ian Serraillier Fireweed by Jill Paton Walsh When Hitler stole pink rabbit by Judith Kerr The happiest man on earth by Eddie Jaku The Endless steppe by Esther Hautzig Goodnight mister Tom by Michelle Magorian The librarian of auschwitz by Antonio Iturbe An eagle in the snow by Michael Morpurgo Hitlers daughter by Jackie French Carries war by Nina Bawden
Oh thank you for the suggestions! When I was creating this list there was a very specific vibe I was going for, and I had to build it entirely from my head, but it seems you’ve understood that assignment perfectly. I’ll have to look some of these up but the librarian of Auschwitz’s is for sure a perfect fit!
Ooooh, yeah I could see you were going for something specific and I wasn't sure if I got it right but I did read the description and I rememberd most of them fitting it (though it's been a while since I read some) so I'm glad at least some of them fit 😁 though I think I accidentally left a non fiction in there lol...
