What an important topic and great list! I would love to read more about it, but unfortunately just thinking about it makes me so uncomfortable I can't even sleep, so I'll just leave my upvote here in solidarity đ˘
That's entirely fairâsome of these titles carry pretty heavy trigger warnings due to the subject matter and definitely require some mental fortitude and stability beforehand!
I appreciate you putting this list together. Especially with the recent news surrounding the Cornell 7 in the US, I think itâs important we keep encouraging ourselves and others to really understand this topic and how rape culture persists in our everyday lives
Thank you. Part of the reason I put together this list and made it non-fiction only was because I realized that, while having consumed a lot of media surrounding sexual trauma, most were either fictional or fictionalized versions of real-life accounts, and a lot of them do not acknowledge the level of complicity within powerful institutions. Without taking in the real facts, we become complacent in a time when we are not angry enough.
