Audie Award-Winning Audiobooks from 2021-2026
I’m an audiobook lover, and I’m always looking for great audiobooks! Rather than just listing my favorites, I thought I’d make a list of audiobooks that have won Audie Awards from 2021-2026.
There are so many, so I stuck to specific categories. Not all categories are in all years, so there is some inconsistency. I included the following categories:

- If the same title won two awards in the same year, I used a runner-up for one of those categories.
- There were a few winners that I didn't feel comfortable including, like books by Neil Gaiman or JD Vance, so I replaced those with runners-up.
- If a winner is a book in the middle of a series, I also added a runner-up that is either a standalone book or the first in a series.
I'm not familiar with many of these books or authors, so if there are any issues I should know about, let me know!
im looking for audiobook recs, got any advice? i cant focus on an audiobook thats longer than 5-7hrs, i get impatient, and i generally only listen to nonfic or memoirs. any from this list you think would fit?
Nonfic and memoirs are actually the genres I dabble in the least, but I can try to help! I'd recommend looking these up to find out what they're about, because I haven't listened to them yet!
I didn't include this category on the list but in 2022, The Gift of Black Folk by W.E.B Du Bois won the award for best faith-based fiction or non-fiction. It's about 8 hours, and I believe it's the AmazonClassics edition of the audiobook.
In 2023, Summer of '85 was the history/biography winner. It's 4 hours 47 min, but is an Audible exclusive unfortunately. It's narrated by Kevin Hart but it looks like a bunch of different people authored it.
One of the finalists for non-fiction in 2023 was Queer Ducks by Eliot Schrefer. It's about 6 hours, and it explores queerness that has been observed in animals.
In 2024, Dolly Parton's memoir Behind the Seams was a finalist for autobiography/memoir. It's about 4 hours. La Finca was another finalist in the same category, it's by Corky Parker. It's about 7 hours.
Also in 2024, Goodbye Christopher Robin by Ann Thwaite won best history/biography. It's around 6 hours.
Poverty, by America (by Matthew Desmond) won best nonfiction in 2024. It's 6 hours.
In 2025, Cool Food by Robert Downey Jr and Tom Kostigen was a finalist for nonfiction. It's 6 hours. It's about climate change and food and looks really interesting.
