Would also highly recommend these for anyone interested in more related titles: -The Best We Could Do by Thi Bui (Vietnamese) -Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi (Iranian) -Born a Crime by Trevor Noah (South African) -A Small Place by Jamaica Kincaid (Antiguan) -Unreconciled by Jesse Wente (First Nation Canadian) -Abina and the Important Men by Liz Clarke and Trevor Getz (takes place on the African Gold Coast and discusses slavery there)

It's been a while since I read it, but Flat Earth Needs by Nick Davies is a great book about journalism in the UK, and if I recall correctly, the Murdoch of it all. Also; I haven't read it yet, but How To Kill A Witch is about the history of witchcraft and its persecution in Scotland. Oh; and just about anything by Laura Bates!
