I immediately saved as soon as I saw the Zahi Hawass comment, cause yes he absolutely should suck eggs!! Also was my first hyper fixation topic for me at the age of 7, was obsessed with the funeral practices.
Yes!! Love that you caught that! I was also insanely obsessed at an early age. I remember being 7 and watching a documentary and taking notes on the Rosetta stone in my little notebook
I would borrow the same 10 huge books my local library had over and over. Think I ended up watching majority of the documentaries that were showing on tv. Can I remember any facts? Nope! Probably will indulge in a few books again just for my old self đ thank you for the list!

I grew up obsessed with ancient Egypt and I was the youngest person ever to present at the national conference of Egyptologists when I was 9. Iâm pursuing a COMPLETELY different career now but I know a solid chunk of these authors personally and I can attest to the fact that Dr. Kara Cooney is absolutely brilliant and so poised, Dr. Salima Ikram is a genius and an icon in her field, Dr. Donald P Ryan is one of the funniest and kindest people Iâve ever met, and Dr. Nicholas Reeves is quietly brilliant and so insightful! I love seeing people appreciate their work and I ESPECIALLY appreciate the Zahi hate!
