hello! recommendations are more than welcome, but here’s a quick a note on selection:

some books in this list feature romance more prominently than others, but my focus in curating this is books that feature a (somewhat) full romantic arc or subplot, whether or not it is cut short. i’m shying away from books that inherently focus on the loss or grief of a queer relationship, which is why you won’t see titles like our wives under the sea here.

i’m also not including supernatural romance titles. these often include an element associated with horror, such as a vampire/werewolf/zombie love interest, or a witchy curse, but are not tonally aligned with horror as a genre.

these selections reflect a genuine horror/romance crossover; you’ll find yourself squirming for all of the right reasons.
