these legal mysteries/thrillers invite you into the courtroom; to stand trial, defend the accused and listen to attorneys and judges. Here, the courtroom is central or at least very important to the story. The protagonists are either lawyers or working for the court in some other way. Sometimes, they have to defend someone close to them, sometimes they are the accused...

suggestions are always welcome, but please note that I don't want to add the whole catalogue of famous courtroom/legal authors like John Grisham - my vision is just two or three important works per author to not make it too crowded!
Would "To kill a mockingbird" be a good recommendation? Or "Twelve Angry Men"? Sorry thinking classics here lol
I did think about adding "To Kill a Mockingbird"! I haven't read it though and don't know how much time is spent actually in the courtroom. Is the legal aspect the main focus of the story?
And I'll look into "Twelve Angry Men" - thank you so much for your suggestions! 🤗
From what I remember, the primary focus is the child. But a bulk of the time is spent watching the main character's father defend a black man accused of a crime he did not do in 1936 Alabama. A lot of it takes place in the court room I just don't remember exactly how much!
12 Angry Men is a play that follows a possible hung jury.
i have no suggestions, but i love this list!
thank you Goosie!! 🥹🫂🩷 That means a lot to me
