I love this list! I finished Keera Duggan series by Robert Dugani. Keera is a defense attorney and I loved just reading her action in court so I was looking for more recs!

suggestions are always welcome, but please note that I don't want to add the whole catalogue of famous courtroom/legal authors like John Grisham - my vision is just two or three important works per author to not make it too crowded!
Would "To kill a mockingbird" be a good recommendation? Or "Twelve Angry Men"? Sorry thinking classics here lol
I did think about adding "To Kill a Mockingbird"! I haven't read it though and don't know how much time is spent actually in the courtroom. Is the legal aspect the main focus of the story?

From what I remember, the primary focus is the child. But a bulk of the time is spent watching the main character's father defend a black man accused of a crime he did not do in 1936 Alabama. A lot of it takes place in the court room I just don't remember exactly how much!
12 Angry Men is a play that follows a possible hung jury.

I finally read "To Kill a Mockingbird" and decided it doesn't fit the niche criteria for this list, mainly because the focus is very different from the rest of the books on here! I'm still deciding on "12 Angry Men" but it definitely sounds very interesting, so thank you! 🤗
