The earlier post about page limits (I can’t remember who posted it!) made me realize something very funny about myself: I would rather read one 1000 page book than a 3 book series that adds up to 1000 pages.
If the subject matter was within the realm of what I find interesting, there is a 10% (maybe) chance I would read the whole trilogy but like a 100% chance I would read the whole book.
And I wonder if this means we can map everyone onto two axes: long and short (vis-à-vis book length) and series vs one-off.
Tag yourself, I’m long one-off (calling this quadrant The Tolstoys). First person to claim each quadrant gets to name it 😏

This is disgusting. Please is this a thriller or some kind of shitty romance? ew 😞 I don’t wanna hear how badly Millie wants to touch a man and I don‘t want to hear another word about chest hair or Sexyness or muscles.

This is super random, but am I the only one who laughs every time I read Panache's name?! I am sorry, but this is a horse's name🐴... Every time I am thinking of a guy with a horse's head😂😂😂

As the title asks what is a series you never finished and why? I remember reading book 1 of Red Queen and being so disappointed with the ending that I promised myself I wouldn't read the rest of the series. So I went and searched about my favorite character's (Maven) ending and well it wasn't what I expected. 😭 This feels like such a bad reason but I just can't get myself to do it. 🤷♀️ Does anybody else have stupid reasons? Edit: I wrote title wrong. 🥲

Recently where I live there have been many power runouts during the night. 🙄 So I wanted to ask how would you read your book? With a head lantern? (I don't have those tho.) 😆 With candles?🕯

Is there any book length that is your maximum limit? Like beyond that you nope out?
For me any book over 1K pages is a hard pass unless it's interesting enough
I need to read a book that I'm kind of intimidated by because it says it's over 1500 pages on my Kindle, 850 pages on paperback and I thought why not grab it on audiobook to make it a lil easier.... it's 36 hours long... 😶

So far I’ve just been rating/reviewing the books I have something more lengthy to say about, but I wonder if it might be worth it to just rate all my completed books and not worry about leaving a “proper” review 🤔
