Wow, first book after my reading slump and this was perfect. It drew me in and I would end up reading so many chapters in a row. Beautiful but heartbreaking, Suad Ali tells her story about coming to Sweden as a Somalian refugee. The first chapters, we get to see Somalia before the war. I really appreciated learning more about Somalia, and the Somalia Suad Ali describes before the rebellion broke out was beautiful. After Nora, the main character, manages to escape with her daughter, she experiences a completely different picture of Sweden than her husband had described it. Faced with poverty, unemployment, racism, exploitation it's far from the ''dream''. I recommend Dina Händer Var Fulla Av Liv (not sure if it's gotten translated, when I looked it appeared it hadn't) in a heartbeat. I wish it was longer but also wish it wasn't, that's how great it is!
