EDIT: Thank you for all the great suggestions in the comments (if you have more please share)! I will be trying lots of new things moving forward, though I do still believe a post limit based on reading progression and/or having a total post cap per book with no time restriction would allow for more balance between fast and slower readers š
Now before anyone comes for me, I 100% agree with there being a limit to posts, and the 5 post limit isnāt really the issue; people should be thinking about what they want to share in a forum and a limit is good for that. However, as someone who often reads an entire book within 24 hours, being limited to only 5 forum posts for the whole books is a bummer, especially since someone reading the same book over a longer period will be provided a chance to post 10+ times. I held off marking one of my books as read so that I could post the few comments I wanted to after midnight, and when that didnāt work later that next day (which also didnāt work), but I feel like Iām being punished for being a fast reader (and Iām a little confused at when/how the 24 hour limit resets). It wouldnāt even let me post something new after deleting an older post, since if I figured if I had to choose between the two, the most recent post was more āworth itā.
I still think there should be a limit, but maybe it needs to be based on book percentage rather than time? Perhaps you get a certain number of posts for every 10 - 20% of a book?? I dunno, I just feel that there is a slight imbalance for those who read faster. Anyone else run into this issue or am I the crazy one? š¤Ŗ

OOF. How do we get this in front of the audience who needs it šš«

I saw this trend on TikTok and since I'm new here, I hope it will be a good conversation starter. What is one book and or series you'd do just about anything to read for the first time again? š§

3.75 āļø An Elderly Lady Is Up to No Good is pure, unadultered fun. I wasn't expecting "a little murder" from the summary to be the main plot, but neither was I disappointed when it was. Maud is a hilarious character to follow, and the humorous tone of the writing makes up for the lack of realism. Because of how short this is, we get little to no character work and not much of an overall plot to develop, but I enjoyed it for what it wasāa short, light-hearted read that centers an 88-year-old woman using people's expectations against them.
If you're looking for something short to pick up between reads or are interested in reading something lighthearted and humorous, you may enjoy this little book.
