So I was thinking⦠is there any movie/tv show adaptation that in your opinion is BETTER than the book? š¤ I, for example, believe that the movie adaptation of The Virgin Suicides is way better than the book, and I love the book, but I feel like the movie did a better job capturing the Lisbon sisters, like, the director understood them better than the author of the book. šāāļø Do you think itās possible an adaptation is better than the source material? š«¢

Reading the series for the first time and I never really had much interest in this one, but my hold for Sunrise on the Reaping isnāt ready yet so I decided to try this one. Not really into it but itās only early still I guess.

Not a bad read! Definitely not scary, but it had some decent gorey moments that made me cringe, which I think will be the closest Iāll get to being scared when reading š

Itās alright so far. The writing reminds me a bit of Stephen Kingās, where we get a ton of inner monologue from the characters about their thoughts and their reflections, most of the time none of it really being relevant to whatās going on, which I donāt enjoy š but we are trucking along!

I hope writing this memoir helped Jennette heal the trauma of her childhood. This might be a stretch to ask, but did the book hit close to home for anyone? I cried many times because it was like seeing myself in another perspective. I hope we all heal from the pain our abusive parents have caused.

Are y'all updating your ratings and/or reviews after doing a reread? Why or why not? Also: I swear there was already a discussion on here about this so I'm sorry to be redundant, but try as I might I just can't find it ā¹ļø if y'all have a link I'd love to look at the answers there too!

What if you were stranded on an island, they offer you two ways out, and you have to pick either that you can only read the worst book you ever read for your whole life or smell like shit for the rest of your life. What would be your choice?

I picked up the first 3 books of ACOTAR after watching a mocking review of them, and I had fun hate reading along with the booktuber fun fact, I picked up zodiac academy for a similar effect but ended up loving it too much

This was a really unique story! Sort of dark Alice in Wonderland meets small town south? While I enjoyed it, for some reason I could NOT get into it as much as I would have liked. I really had to force myself to sit down and read it, so maybe it was the pacing that wasnāt doing it for me. It had an original plot and I liked the imperfect-ness of the characters.

I think mine is The Octunnumi Fosbit Files Prologue⦠the book had a really cool concept but was SO confusing. But itās one of the coolest books I have, with pitch black edges, a matte black cover with glossy black detailing, gold embossed lettering, and detailing on each page. I keep it solely due to its aesthetic š

I admittedly didnāt read a single page of the books I was assigned in school and want to go back and see what Iām missing. So which books did you think were worth it, and maybe even more importantly, which ones do you consider a skip?
