Lately, I’ve started reading more books in English. It’s not my native language, so sometimes I come across words I don’t understand—and that can pull me out of the story. 😅 To help with that, I thought I’d start a little vocabulary notebook where I can keep track of the tricky words I find while reading. It’s a small step, but I’m excited to see where it takes me. 💬 Have you ever tried something similar when reading in another language?

I've seen a lot of favourite author questions, and I never know how to answer because I don't know what would make an author a favourite. One way I guess would be how many books have you read of theirs? For me, it would be Terry Pratchett with 7 novels in the Discworld. Then all of R F Kuang's novels which would be 5. KJ Charles at 4 read. Then Jane Austen at 3, with Agatha Christie at 3. The list of two book authors would be too long.

I always think back to the childhood books that got made me into the reader I am today so I wanna know what books everyone on here got them into reading! It also doesn’t have to be childhood books if you became a big reader later in life but I would still love to know what your answer was! One of the first books that I remember really loving and becoming obsessed with is the first Percy Jackson book that my mom recommended to me when I was about 7-9. So I owe my reader journey to her. I also really love the Pixie Hollow series so I’m super excited to read Wings of Starlight soon. (I’m also using this post as an opportunity to get some reading recommendations 🤭)

This question is not very book related but more website related. I was questioning if there is going to be a dark mode added in the future? If it is going to be added later, my eyes would thank you very much.

When you find a new book, do you immediately decide if you want to read it by the cover or do you first see what the book is about? What's a type of cover that you hate and others that you really like and might even display on your book shelves? Feel free to gives book examples!
