so Piranesi is like my fav book oat. so naturally i wanted to read more of susanna clarkes work. she unfortunately only has like 2 other books. i was v excited to get into this book. magicians in 1800s UK trying to restore magic in England and defeat the ravenking. or so I thought. it is probably 10% magic and 90% politics and drama. it is not what I expected in the slightest. but it is charming, it is good. just a little odd. i kind of didn't know wtf was going on for a good 70% of my time reading it but I think I was enjoying myself. Susanna Clarke does write thing into existemacr. you can't help but to just believe everything she writes. i would recommend this book to few people I know. but it is still a great book nonetheless.
