I've been really excited about this book but I'm only 50 pages in and I'm already unsure if I want to continue.
The names are very cringe (Starstick, Sunling, Moonling, GRIM??? no). And I find that I'm not attached to any of the characters. The fmc is a little too "damsel in distress" for someone who's been training her whole life for this, and the two male leads are veeeery cliché.
One of the most intriguing things was the fact that the Wildlings curse was that whoever they fall in love with would die, and I was interested in seeing how the romance would progress with a curse like that, only to find out that our fmc doesnt actually have the curse that everyone else in her realm has (and for a very silly reason imo. Seems like the author just chose the first thing that popped into their head). So now that isn't intriguing me anymore.
I initially got interested in this book because it has a deadly game/trial (which is one of my absolute FAVORITE tropes🤌) so I'll definitely keep reading at least until the trial starts and if i'm still not liking it, I fear it'll be a dnf :(
