First time reader for this author, I’ve heard many good things. I don’t typically read fantasy type materials, but this caught my attention right away with the historical aspects. Adeline proves to be an interesting character of thus far, either that or her circumstances more so. The way the book reads is very well done, almost poetic. I love the tone that the book also offers, a hint of melancholic nostalgia.
