curious if anyone here has managed to turn a love of books or reading into a job/career and if so, what do you do (if you donât mind sharing)? what do you enjoy about it? are there any major drawbacks for you? đ

my brain's already hurting (maybe in a good way?) and everything is still (relatively) normal. this feels like a book where you have to read it little and often. so that you don't get overwhelmed but also don't forget what's happening.
also i might start annotating (how will that work when the format gets funky? don't know yet) it's definitely a book that wants you to put the effort in

I love the look into how my favourite musical came to be. It's definitely something I'll read again and again, especially whenever I go to see Hadestown. So, knowing me, I'll be reading it again sometime soon. It's also great for annotating because I can't exactly annotate a live performance. I just can't really use it for writing about cast-specific acting choices and line deliveries because I'd run out of space incredibly quickly. Maybe I need a media journal...

I love how you notice something new every time you read this and I love all the various references (to pop culture, history and mythology) that mean I get to learn new things as I read and most of all I love the way the relationship grows and changes between the two characters.
