I identify as a mystery and thriller enthusiast, occasional horror enjoyer but a total sucker for books that make me feel human despite my ongoing existential crisis.

I used to LOVE reading as a kid, but for some reason, reading became “uncool” as I went through puberty. About a year ago, I was given a book called The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, and I just couldn’t put it down. As I was reading, I felt a nice rush of nostalgia because I remembered how it felt to be immersed in a story and how much fun it was.
Ever since, I’ve visited libraries and bookstores and connected with friends who read. I really missed reading, and I didn’t even know it!
I wonder if anyone else had a similar experience? What book made you want to read more? Is there a book that changed your experience as a reader?
Hi Boundlings!! This was just a random thought that popped in my mind, that I can't decide if my taste in books matches my taste in music. I am capable of liking almost any book if well written and I like almost every music genre. I just can't decide if they all match... So, do you think your two taste in those things match? Or would you consider them opposites??

I’m very particular about my taste in books. Mainly interested in Horror/thrillers. Its hard for me to venture out of the genre. My taste in music is literally anything and eveything. From Old-time lovey-dovey classics, to gym rat phonk, to anime openings, to RnB, to country, and etc. Maybe there’s a hidden pattern in my playlists I just haven’t discovered yet?
