Hey all I want to ask if someone knows good book stores in the Netherlands that sell sapphic English books? I'm from aruba going to the Netherlands in September for a few weeks I lived there for 2 years but I wasn't that deep in books the first year there and mostly ordered books on Amazon but now even the nl Amazon has the same price or even more expensive then the us so I want to explore book stores this time.

how important is caraval to this book and do i have to read it before this? is this like six of crows situation where you don't necessarily have to read previous trilogy to understand and like the story?

I'm thinking of changing my username to include one nickname but if I translate it to English is weird. The nickname is in Portuguese, Pintainho, but translated literally means Chick, an animal I know, but the story behind is funny and I find it cute. Also thinking about using my real name. It's not I don't like it, I just normally prefer using Minnie. Anyway, I wanted to ask what's the meaning behind your username? And if you had to change it to something different but also meaningful what would it be? Edit: Changed from mimilovesreading to pintainho.reads 😌

I was thinking about how one of the bookshop in my local shopping after a renewal has so much more queer books! I swear I had only found 2 (one of which is a classic: The Picture of Dorian Gray). Now I went in there and I see more than 5 at least in only one shelf. I don’t know why but I am not complaining. I also noticed a lot more books from POC and other minorities which made me really happy honestly. I still have to go check out my local library to see if they have more new books (especially queer ones). Does your local library and/or bookshops have a good collection of books written by queer/POC and other minor communities? 👀

I have a few books I really wished I had DNF'ed but ended up reading until the very end. Do you also have any books you wish you had DNF'ed sooner or after you've already finished the book? If yes, why? And what books? 👀

I have a bunch of questions that have been gnawing at my head for a while.
– Am I the only one who barely ever reads one book at a time? I simply love to read different books within the same timeframe. I promise I never get them mixed up.
– Does anyone else hate taking book recommendations? I just don’t enjoy someone giving me recs because I never read them.
– I don’t enjoy new releases as much as old books🥲
Also, this post was made to make friends. I’m 22, Nigerian and Catholic (if that’s important). I love old movies and I love to cry. Thank you💕

Maybe I'm unfeeling or maybe this was a case of the wrong book for the wrong person but I was bored as hell. 🤷🏼♀ The audiobook is fire though.

This stressed me out (In a good way?).
Conclusion I really enjoyed it overall and all of the flaws the book has are minimal and mostly viewed by a personal preference. If you're looking for a book with flawed characters that are like real people and a sports romance with some ups and downs this is for you!
