I can definitely tell this is building toward more. I feel like I'm doing a lot of waiting for more in this arc. It's cool that we're seeing some old friends and that the new characters are learning about their parents' pasta but I can't help but feel like I'm waiting for more.

This one is definitely picking up now! I still find summer of the characters annoying but I also need to remind myself that they're all supposed to be pretty young still. I'm enjoying that the stories that could easily be a nearly exact repeat are actually getting changes to them with the new generation.

Just wanted to share that the author did an hour-long podcast, discussing the research process and reclaiming trans history. You can listen to that here: https://momadvice.com/post/milo-todd-interview
Todd also wrote an article on his research for Lit Hub, which can be accessed here: https://lithub.com/uncovering-the-forgotten-the-struggle-for-trans-history-from-nazi-germany-to-today/

This definitely isn't this authors strongest work but it was still good. The pacing was well done and the mystery solving was great. This is a solid stand alone adventure.

This one wasn't the strongest start to an arc so far in the series. I generally liked it but the characters felt annoying in a lot of moments. I hope I like the next book more.
