The more I keep reading, the more I wonder what I would do in that situation. I keep thinking about whether that “liberty” would actually be enjoyable at some point. I mean, living without having to worry about what other people think of you or whether they’ll remember your actions. Part of me is sure I would hate it, but another part of me keeps thinking about all the things that would be possible with that kind of “liberty.”
Honestly, I found the pace a bit slow at the beginning, but it seems like it’s picking up now. Although I don’t trust that Luc will be happy with Addie’s situation, so I’m worried he’ll do something to hurt them somehow.

I'm really not a fan of how meta this book is, I prefer it when book characters don't know they are in a book, and I definitely dont like the narrator giving out page numbers where certain things happen

any recs in this quest for books that have no/less graphic violence, animal cruelty, etc? i know its a long shot but i would love to read greek myth retellings that are somehow low stakes and calm. if anyone has recs outside the quest that'd be awesome too!
