I wonder why in the American edition there is an additional ½ death? Does someone know?

something i’m really loving about the books that the movies didn’t capture is how much sass and backbone harry actually has. i feel like, especially in the first movie, they make him seem like this defenseless little kid who’s always just the victim. and while he is a victim of the dursleys, the books let us see his actual thoughts, and he pushes back way more than the movies show. he knows he doesn’t deserve the way they treat him, and he isn’t afraid to stand up for himself when he can. it honestly makes me root for him even more because he doesn’t just accept everything, they actually let him have some fight in him

Annabeth and Leo's dynamic is so funny - he's terrified of her 😂 Maybe my opinion of Leo will be more favorable in this book than TLH. And they both mentioned feeling cold and like someone's watching them, is it that Snow goddess in TLH (forgot her name)? Seemed like she went over to Gaea's side.

Coach Hedge continues to be a menace (trying to fight a lake??) and I love that for him. But also, where's my GOAT, Grover??

We didn't get anything about Reyna and Jason, kinda bummed about that. Jason didn't do anything, really. I was hoping he'd get more of a warm welcome from Camp Jupiter but they're also quite wary of him.

I have a feeling Hazel and Frank are gonna be the MVPs of the 7, idk why. But their stakes are the highest of all, with their lives being the most on the line and so uncertain.

Percy saying he's fine to go anywhere as long as his partner is Annabeth 💘 my boy! And Annabeth feeling uneasy bc of the prophecy! Ugggh.. something is gonna happen to them (I kinda know the spoiler already but idk how it happens so, I gotta keep reading!).
