This book has so many extraordinary descriptions….including the moment here where Dr. Rossi describes how the ancient book he has just opens reeks of decay, rotting meat or dead flesh. SO chilling!

I read this one many years ago and loved it. (I do have a soft spot for historical fiction with professorial types.) This time I am listening to the book, and so far, just 4% in, it is as engaging as I remember!

I’ve seen reels of people bawling their eyes out at the end of this book.
I get it now. I am crying so hard I can’t breathe.

Ooo! I'm enjoying it so far! I love how Miller writes, the words flow and are descriptive which is absolutely alluring. I DNF'd this one a while back but am here for another try! I forget how much I love Greek mythology characters!

I cannot resist a story framed in the big question of who are we amidst this vastness we inhabit. This is my first read from this particular author and I am curious if her other books engage similar structures?
