I had a bit of a hard time in the beginning, not gonna lie. It’s snowy and cold where I am, and the idea of following two characters (one who doesn’t talk much!) across a freezing barren landscape for the rest of the book was not appealing! But in true Alix Harrow fashion, every thread is pulled and every Easter egg is there for finding. God what a delicious read this is turning out to be! I can’t put it down now. 🗡️🚬👑

Ok I’ve been exclusively reading books with magic and witches and dragons in them (and purposefully light on the romance) for the last 2 years so I initially had a hard time getting into this one. I’m now fully hooked and keep shouting JUST KISS HER ALREADY in my head. Lucie and Aiden’s dynamic is very fun. “I’m worried about your credit score” had me laughing so hard. Also as someone who is in love with Baltimore, the local references have my heart beating out of my chest. I’m having a fun time with this one!
